BUILDING YOUR PORTFOLIO?
Trade
for print (TFP) opportunities as well as paid assignments are offered to models building portfolios. We shoot on location
or in studio and provide models with a selection of print ready images on CD. Specific details must be agreed to between photographer
and model prior to a shoot, but a brief overview is outlined below.
HOW IT WORKS
Photographer and model work together to create images for use by the model as well as the photographer.
TFP Shoots:
Model
comes prepared for session with make-up, hair-style artists and desired wardrobe changes.
Photographer
works with model while shooting to create images that fit both the photographer's and model's needs.
Within
3-4 weeks after the shoot, the photographer provides the model with:
- a selection of
print ready images (minimum 5 per outfit/look) for the model's promotional use for portfolio books, website, etc.
- a selection of web optimized copies of the same images that are pre-sized
and compressed for upload to on-line modeling portfolio websites.
Model signs a release that allows photographer full commercial rights to images and all copyrights are wholly
owned by the photographer.
Photographer may use images from shoot for resale, advertising,
website and royalty free stock photography sales.
Paid Shoots:
Paid assignments are booked by the photographer as needed for special projects.
Photographer
usually selects models he has previously worked with (models from previous TFP shoots or other paid shoots).
Same rules
as for TFP shoots apply regarding make-up, hair and wardrobe unless otherwise stated when scheduled.
